GOD'S UNLIMITED POWER

Proverbs 19:21
Romans 8:28
Jeremiah 29:11
Isaiah 45:6-7
Joshua 1:9

The study of the power of God a truly eye opening study. These five verses were intentionally extracted from the study located at http://www.openbible.info/topics/god_is_in_control in order to avoid posting an entire study list.

In the world and in the church I am often met with fierce rhetoric declaring my teaching on this matter heretical. I am guilty of, most often, taking the easy way out by asking these folks to read the entire book of Job, please. It appears that I am, today, considered to be unreasonable, asking people to read a whole book of the Bible.

But there is a rule I live by, concerning scripture, "If God had a thing recorded once in the scriptures, we need to pay attention. If God has directed anything be repeated, it is like unto highlighting a critical instruction on a set of Blue Prints or the highlighted path to a delivery point handed to a Driver by his dispatcher. If a thing is retold three times, it is not to be forgotten." The fact that God controls everything is recorded over and over throughout the whole of scripture.

Yet we have in the Church Universal a huge movement declaring that God is not in control of Hell, not in control of ISIS and not in control of my life. This is but one of the proverbial Match Boxes we seek to hold God in inside our pocket and purses. God is without limit, so much so that in my opinion, we do not yet and might never fully understand His unlimited power.

There is a product of extreme racism and the ¿leader? of the US, today, has proven over and over that  he and his wife are extremely racist.  The Federal AG, Eric Holder, is also a member of their class of human beings and suddenly with their aid and the aid of the liberal left press core the US is witnessing race riots once more, sad.

As a people watching old man I remember a lesson taught to me by a very nice Black Lady, lies always travel faster than the truth,  In Ferguson Mo. today we are witnessing this truth in action, just as we did in Florida with the ridiculous trial of George Zimmerman.  Darren Wilson, with a broken eye socket will stand trial for defending himself in the performance of his duties... sad.

Here comes that hill billy preacher again, ya'll watch him, he's a strange one, that one. Eph. 5:20-29 is, perhaps, historically, the most abused verse in the scriptures. It has been misused by everyone from King James to the Modern Day Televangelist to abuse women. You should see, immediately, that I appear to have gone crazy and added some verses. Well, guess what, I'm one of those silly people that if you were to look at my transcript it looks as though I learned very little but we're not here to discuss my Cs and Ds, but rather, I paid close attention to what the teachers said.
As a result of eight years of formal education, some college course by mail and a good bit of "hungry" research I learned to always pay attention to the context. Now, these verses are being drawn out of their "local" context but for the matter being discussed, these verses do form the required context to define the truth needed here.

The first three verses of this passage are, almost, never used together and when they are, verse 22 changes the implied translation, immediately. One of the most common perversions of this verse is it's use in the marital bed room. When viewed with verses 20 and 21, it becomes clear that this verse is applicable, NOT, in that context. when viewed in it' s entirety, it is, absolutely, clear that our wives are to submit to us, just, as we submit to God and there lays the problem.
I know very, very few men that have submitted their lives to God as an offering to Him. This is the submission we must learn to understand and that is very much a lesson we all, not need but, must learn and make a moment by moment driver of our lives. But there is sad news for the average man and that is found in verses 23-29.

Immediately we see in v. 23 that the husband is to be to his wife, the same sort of person to the wife that Jesus was and is to his bride, the Church. Jesus, not only was ready to, He died to redeem the Church. Just as Jesus died for His Bride the husband must stand ready to die to protect his wife.
Verse 24 standing by itself can be a woman' s nightmare but it does not stand alone. already we see that it is tied to the first four verses of this passage for contextual application and there is more to come. In verses 25 & 26 we find God/Jesus highlighting His previous statement. God did not use a Magic Marker to highlight and to emphasize a point, instead God would repeat the instruction to draw our attention to a fact or instruction and that is what we find here.

Now, remember, the emphasis is pointed at the male member of this union, not the wife. the husband is responsible to lead his wife on the path of righteousness. We are to love our wives so much that we seek to lead them to be glorious and the most valuable possession we hold. The husband is instructed to bath his wife in righteousness just as we are just a we, the husband, are to submit to the LORD for him to do unto us.

Finally we see the summary that amounts to stating the instruction the third time in one short passage. As a former warrior I have always paid a lot of attention to my body. Even today, as I prepare to leave this realm and to enter the next, I pay attention to my body mass. In that same manor I am to love my wife. I am not to view her as a divided portion of my life but rather I must view my wife just as I view my own body.

If any, and I do mean any, danger were to approach my wife, it is my intention to move between her and the danger that before anything might happen to her, it must kill me first. this understanding completely destroys the conventional understanding commonly used for this passage.

May God bless all of us that seek Him with wisdom.

1Co 11:1 Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ. (ASV)

Today, there are many houses built in vain. What am I talking about? The Bible teaches us that if we build anything without God we will fail. (Psalms 127:1) So many, without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit have problems finding a, practical Life application for this. Paul, in the title verse, makes it quite clear to those of us that have repented, accepted Jesus for our Saviour an quench not the Holy Spirit. We do not lead god into our ministries, no, it is exactly as Henry Blackaby teaches. We must learn to hear God's call. (Bill Taylor's intepretation of Mr. Blackaby's teaching.)

I took this course, early, in my Christian Walk and it has been a perpetual blessing to me, since. Henry teaches that we must learn to stand still, listen and watch to see where God is working so that we can serve God. Since that course, every time a task led by God comes to an end, a door closes, another door opens resulting in my having never been bored but rather, having been, always, bust for the LORD, my Master.

Also, early in my walk I began to sign my name to the articles with Bond Servant, followed by Bill Taylor and having done so, I've offended quite a few folks. Some have even informed me that they were children of God and as such, God owes them! Well, God owes no one anything. Am I also a Chil of God? Absolutely! But there was a Spiritual Transaction that took place on that cross when Jesus gave up the Spirit and was buried, He paid the price of ownership for this and for every sinner smart enough to accept the free gift of Salvation. The moment I accepted that gift I began to follow Jesus through the leading of the Holy Spirit and that means I have chosen to have the Spiritual piercing of my ear, making me the Bond Servant of Jesus and that means I am not the but a Child of God.

My prayers go with and for all that read this article.

LOVE

1Cor. 13:1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. 3 If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing. [WEB]

As is common with the Word of God, this passage of scripture is most often taken out of it's context for application. However there is a rule of hermeneutics that, when reading scripture, I live by. “No scripture can ever be fully understood without the light of all scripture shinning on it.” Couple this with “never take a scripture nor a passage of scripture out of it's context” and you are thoroughly set to be confused. These rules are a must but, and that is a large but, without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and prayer, wrapped around your study, it is, entirely, possible that the scripture studied will, as it does to the Lost Man, remain a mystery to you without useful meaning.

Most of the sermons I have heard on the thirteenth chapter are messages on love. And as anyone can see, that is not far out of the ball-park and, likely, was inspired by the Holy Spirit but this is a sandwiched passage of scripture. In this world today everything must be lightning fast and in trying to live that way, people have lost the art of reading. When we look at chapter 12, verse 1, Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant, [ASV], we see the introduction to the subject of chapters twelve through fourteen. Paul is speaking on the Spiritual Gifts that enable men to do some of the works of God.

Christians are saved by God's grace alone and from that being preached from the pulpit, many get the wrong idea. On the web I preface my signature with Bond Servant and I feel that I am even though I am also a child of God. When Jesus gave up the ghost, the purchase of your and my souls was the transaction that occurred. It was as though I were on the Slave Blocks of the seventeen and the eighteen hundreds and Satan and Jesus were bidding but Jesus, the Christ, went all in... literally!

So it is that being purchased we are now empowered to do our Master's bidding, His appointed works.

Now, but greed! Greed is the one common denominator for all humanity... sad but true. I believe it is safe to say that ninety-nine point five percent of all Christians have knowledge of the crowns God will award those that have worked according to His will. Some remember but some forget that we will also have the privilege of willingly giving them up by casting them to the feet of the Son of God, Jesus. I believe they forget because of greed. Crowns are valuable, here on the Earth but in Heaven, even, the streets are paved with Gold.

We must, when saved, converted or whatever you wish to call it, take on God's love! When Jesus, God in the flesh of a man, stood and absorbed those beatings, the thirty-nine lashes and the death on the cross He did so because it was the will of the Father and because He loved the Crown Jewel of His creation, mankind. If we do, what we believe to be, the works of God's will to earn a crown, we lose! If we do our works for the glory of God for the benefit of the other people, at our expense, perhaps we will earn one of those crowns but it should not matter.

Two points, Jesus did not enjoy having His beard jerked out by the roots and that is the least of His pain and He did do this thing because He loves us. The long and the short of the matter is, Jesus is the model or the pattern for our lives and we are to imitate Him because we love Him and in doing so, we love the strangest people.

May God bless this message to your hearts, Amen!

Are You Ready?

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33, ASV)

There are three major theories of the Great Tribulation and a case for all three has been made from the scriptures. Personally I hold fast to the Pretribulation position. However I am prepared to be wrong also. The world we live in is changing daily right now and if a man converts to Christianity in the Middle East there is a great chance he will be executed for for his faith. He will be disowned by his family, fired from his job and beaten for daring to follow the One True God and for dumping his idols.

Why should we be concerned, it has been the last days for the past, almost 2,000 years, hasn't it? The answer is yes and no. It is well understood by all believers that to the LORD, our God, a thousand years is as a day to the LORD. What in the world does that mean? I read the book “Heaven Is For Real” a couple of years back where a four year old boy was dead for, something like 3 minutes. The meeting with the sister that he had never heard about because of the pain of a Still Birth, the horses and other animals he saw and interacted with there, sitting with God the Father, Jesus and others would take hours to days for him to have done but he did it all in three minutes, earth time.

Further proof of the truth he was teaching his Pastor father and mom, he told them he had met his dad's father there. His dad showed him a photo of his dad in his later years but the youngster told him that was not his dad. Then dad remembered the scriptures and asked his mother for a mid-life picture of his dad and on receiving it, he placed it for display in the Dinning Room. When the little man passed it he pointed and proclaimed there is the man he met that was the grandpa he had never seen until he died on the Operating Table.

But let's not chase this rabbit to far. Israel, the Fig Tree, bloomed or was born in a day in May of 1948, marking the season for the return of our LORD. (Matt. 24:3-33) Remember that a thousand years is as a day unto our LORD and that all through scripture we see, from the very beginning, God views completion to be filled in sevens. (Be careful not to fall into the trap of numerology here,) The Earth is either entering into it's seventh millennium or has just entered it and the Fig Tree has bloomed, we are entering into a time of world wide tribulation for the Christians. Are you ready?
